Last minute weather changes added some DRAMA to Qualifying! Find out who put it on pole in Interlagos

Q1 saw the elimination of both Alfa Romeo drivers with Guanyu Zhou finishing in 20th and Valtteri Bottas in 18th. Logan Sargeant was only able to put his Williams in 19th, splitting the two Alfa Romeo cars. Unfortunately, Yuki Tsunoda and Daniel Ricciardo both had a mediocre qualifying with Tsunoda finishing in 16th and Ricciardo in 17th.

Q2 brought some excitement with both of the Aston Martin drivers looking strong. Kevin Magnussen was only able to put his Haas in 14th while his teammate, Nico Hülkenberg finished in 11th. Alex Albon had some good pace but had a lap time deleted because of track limits, which ended up putting his Williams in 15th. Esteban Ocon qualified in 12th, just ahead of his teammate Pierre Gasly who will start 13th on the grid tomorrow.

Q3 was cut short due to some terrible impending weather. McLaren did not have the best qualifying result as Oscar Piastri didn't get to set a time because he went off the track causing a yellow flag. This caught out many drivers, one of whom was Piastri's teammate, Lando Norris who was only able to finish in 7th. Sergio Perez had another underwhelming Q3 appearance, only putting his Red Bull in 9th position, right behind the Ferrari of Carlos Sainz. Lewis Hamilton finished the session in 5th with George Russell following closely behind to finish in 6th. Aston Martin had an incredible qualifying, locking out the second row with Lance Stroll in 3rd and Fernando Alonso finishing in 4th. Max Verstappen claimed his second pole at Interlagos with Charles Leclerc putting his Ferrari in 2nd on the grid.
