An early incident brought an early end to FP3. See what happened:

The weather was unrelenting at the start of Free Practice 3
Nico Hulkenberg locked up and lightly went into the tire wall
- He was able to get back to the pits and change his front wing
Logan Sargeant spun out, bringing out a red flag with 44 minutes left in the session
- The crash had a lot of debris and ended up prematurely ending FP3 as the marshals were unable to clean up the mess in time
- Sargeant's car was on fire after the crash which will prevent him from participating in qualifying
The session was resumed with 2 minutes left in FP3
Pierre Gasly topped the session ahead of Kevin Magnussen and Valtteri Bottas
