Alpine and Haas were among the teams interested in his services for 2023, while Red Bull's vacancy for 2025 and other team contract situations add to the intrigue around Albon's future.

The team's managing director, Alessandro Alunni Bravi, noted the need for significant upgrades like those planned for Monza and Suzuka, aiming for two- to three-tenths improvement each time.

Despite partnering with Colin Chapman's team, Thieme's association with F1 came to an end when he was arrested in 1981 for allegedly defrauding a bank of $7.6M. Despite being released on bail, he vanished from the scene after his rapid rise.
