Palou not 'disappointed' in McLaren saga

Alex Palou has broken his silence on the recent contract dispute involving McLaren, characterizing it as a "sad" situation. Despite missing out on further opportunities with McLaren's F1 team, Palou expressed that he's not personally "disappointed." This marks his second year entangled in such issues with McLaren. Initially set to join in 2024, he's now facing legal action from McLaren after CEO Zak Brown revealed his unwillingness to honor the contract. Palou plans to share details eventually but currently prioritizes racing and deferring to legal advisors.

Ocon lashes out at Alpine

French driver Esteban Ocon criticized Alpine for using extreme wet tires during the 2023 Dutch Grand Prix. Ocon believed the tires were inappropriate, given the conditions, and stated that they should have stopped the race if such tires were needed. He lost positions due to being on the wrong tires and expressed frustration over the team's decision and lack of readiness. Despite salvaging 10th place, Ocon disapproved of the full-wet tire's performance and asserted it wasn't suitable for Formula 1 racing conditions.
