FIA tightens right of review process

The FIA has revised the right of review process in Formula 1 due to what many see as its frequent and frivolous use. The right of review allows parties to request a reconsideration of a ruling, but now a deposit, set annually by the FIA, is required for the petition. The new rules mandate that the petition must specify new, significant, and relevant elements in writing, and the filing window has been shortened to 96 hours after an event, extendable by 24 hours in special cases. This change aims to address the increasing misuse of the right of review, which has become a strategic move for teams dissatisfied with stewarding decisions.

Ferrari revamps young driver program for 2024

Ferrari has made significant changes to its young driver development program for 2024, with Jock Clear replacing Marco Matassa as the head of the Ferrari Driver Academy (FDA). Under Clear's leadership, Arthur Leclerc and James Wharton have left the FDA, while Aurelia Nobels and Maya Weug retain their positions and will compete in the F4-spec F1 Academy series. The winner of the Scouting World Final, Rene Lammers, was announced by Ferrari, but the team stated that neither he nor other candidates were deemed ready to join the FDA, with their progress to be monitored in 2024.

Drivers share in Secret Santa fun

It's F1 Secret Santa time, and the drivers are getting into the holiday spirit. They surprised each other with thoughtful gifts; the most exciting part was when they unwrapped them. Fernando Alonso got a captain's cap, and he was pretty sure it was because his colleagues knew he had a boat. It turns out it was a surprise gift from Stroll. Other drivers, too, were treated to various entertaining stuff during the gift exchange. Click here to watch the video.
