Horner: rival teams tried stealing Red Bull sponsors

Christian Horner, Red Bull boss, accused a rival team of attempting to steal sponsors after Red Bull was found guilty of breaking F1's budget cap rules last year. Red Bull faced a $7 million fine, reduced spending allowance for 2023, and 10% less aerodynamic testing time for 12 months. Horner claims a competitor tried to exploit the situation to lure away sponsors. Despite the controversy, Red Bull has secured several new sponsorship deals, including a $500M deal with Oracle. The tensions between Red Bull and rival teams remain high, but Horner believes that the animosity would lessen if Red Bull had a British driver like Mercedes.

Porsche's 2026 entry bid evaporates

Despite its interest in the championship, Porsche has ceased its formal evaluation for a 2026 F1 entry. What initially seemed well-aligned eventually appeared entirely unsuitable. After over two years of speculations, discussions, rule changes to enhance F1's appeal, and public and private declarations of interest, Porsche's 2026 F1 hopes have all but dissipated.

Eddie Jordan: Alonso deserved 8 F1 titles

Ex-F1 team boss Eddie Jordan believes Fernando Alonso could have won eight World Championship titles if he had made better career choices. Alonso, a two-time champion, has struggled in recent years with various teams. Jordan claims Alonso prioritized money over success in his 30s and, while he may win races this year, he won't beat Red Bull. Alonso's career has been marked by tense intra-team relations and unsuccessful stints at different teams, never achieving another world title after his initial successes with Renault.

Verstappen may win six titles, threatening Hamilton's F1 record

Felipe Massa believes Max Verstappen could win six consecutive F1 titles due to Red Bull's dominance. Verstappen, already a two-time world champion, leads the standings in 2023. Massa considers this the "Verstappen era" and likens him to a "robot," with no mistakes and perfect Red Bull teamwork. However, he acknowledges that the title race could change if Mercedes regains form.

Albon’s unimaginable P10 finish

Alex Albon scored his and Williams' first point of the season with a 10th-place finish at the 2022 Australian Grand Prix, starting from 20th due to disqualification in Qualifying. The Thai driver performed well on hard tires, climbing to P7 before a mandatory pit stop dropped him to 10th. Albon's performance helped Williams move up to P9 in the standings, with Nicholas Latifi hoping to score after finishing 16th in Melbourne.
