Red Bull has extended Adrian Newey's contract as Chief Technical Officer, putting an end to speculation about the future of their iconic Formula 1 car design chief. Newey, who joined the team in 2006, oversaw the team's ascent to World Champion status and will continue in his current role, which spans across the Formula 1 team, Red Bull Advanced Technologies, and Red Bull Powertrains. Red Bull Racing did not disclose the terms of the agreement but assured that Newey will be with the team for a considerable amount of time going forward.

Oscar Piastri suffered from food poisoning throughout the Azerbaijan Grand Prix weekend, but it was only revealed towards the end. Despite this, he finished just outside of the points in 11th place in the main event, and his race engineer described his performance as a big effort given his illness. Piastri acknowledged the physical difficulty of the weekend and mentioned he had only eaten four pieces of toast throughout the entire event. Nonetheless, he felt he was able to manage his illness during the races and should be pleased with his performance.

Formula 1 photographer Evgeniy Safronov has called for better headlines following a recent incident in the pitlane at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Alpine's Esteban Ocon had to navigate a crowd of mainly photographers to take a late pitstop, prompting the FIA to admit the need for improved procedures. However, Safronov said the situation was not as dangerous as some media reports had suggested. He argued that the FIA had given the go-ahead for photographers and officials to gather earlier than usual but added that the incident "shouldn't have happened."
