Teams unveil special liveries for Las Vegas

Formula 1 teams are unveiling new liveries for the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix, capitalizing on the heightened interest in F1's return to the city. Ferrari recently revealed a red-and-white color scheme reminiscent of the 1970s, a period when F1 enjoyed significant popularity in the USA. Red Bull Racing has introduced a vibrant 'Make Your Mark' campaign livery for the Las Vegas GP, featuring a purple base with the illusion of yellow and pink neon lights. Williams has revamped its car with a design incorporating the iconic 'Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas' sign, while Alpine is collaborating with streetwear brand Palace for a unique one-off livery, reflecting the excitement surrounding the night street race after a 40-year hiatus.

Sainz breaks the Netflix Cup trophy

Carlos Sainz and several other F1 drivers participated in the Netflix Cup golf tournament, the first sports event to air live on Netflix. Although Sainz successfully won the tournament, held in Las Vegas, the celebrations did not go as planned, as he proved to be a better golfer than a trophy holder. During the post-match ceremony, he hoisted the trophy, only to promptly drop it. The trophy didn't just get a ding or two; it broke into several pieces. The trophy accidents in 2023 have been a running meme in the F1 community. It started with Lando Norris accidentally breaking Max Verstappen's trophy in the Hungarian GP during podium celebrations. Hence, Sainz breaking the Netflix Cup trophy was quite shocking yet hilarious, as another trophy was accidentally broken, even though it was not of F1 itself.

Installed at Sauber Motorsport AG in Switzerland, the HPE-powered supercomputer, delivered as a service via HPE GreenLake, significantly improves computing performance while ensuring data security. The high-performance cluster, based on HPE ProLiant Gen11 servers with AMD EPYC processors and Cray ClusterStor E1000 storage, adheres to FIA rules and allows Sauber to adjust computing capacity dynamically.

Norris and Piastri's Vegas getaway
