Verstappen tipped to become first ‘billion-dollar’ driver

Max Verstappen's F1 success, with estimated annual earnings of $50 million, puts him on track to become the sport's first billion-dollar earner. If he continues in F1 for a number of years, his career earnings could skyrocket. Despite not having huge personal endorsement deals, his various deals and salary already make him a significant earner. In the Netherlands, he's a superstar, so concerns about global marketability are minimal.

Pirelli scraps 2024 C2 tire change after Japanese GP test

Pirelli has decided to abandon its plan to change the C2 tire compound for the 2024 Formula 1 season after testing a prototype at the Japanese Grand Prix showed no improvement in performance. The C2 compound was considered for a slight softening to better match other compounds but did not deliver the desired results. Pirelli's head of car racing, Mario Isola, stated that they will stick with the current C2 tire, as there was no significant improvement in grip with the prototype. Additionally, Pirelli plans to test a revised C4 prototype at the Mexican Grand Prix to address graining issues. The tire selection for the grand prix will be C3, C4, and C5.
