Max Verstappen topped the session with Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc following closely behind. The McLarens had a successful session with Oscar Piastri finishing in 9th and Lando Norris coming in 10th. Logan Sargeant finished in 11th, right ahead of his teammate Alexander Albon. The two Alfa Romeo's didn't have the best session with both finishing outside of the top 15. Nico Hülkenberg had a promising session placing his Haas in 7th while his teammate Kevin Magnussen brought up the rear in 20th.
