Heading to the 2026 Mexican Grand Prix? Before packing for the Formula 1 race weekend, check what you can bring into Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez.
Here's what you need to know before arriving at the gates, plus a few race-day essentials worth packing.
Mexican GP 2026 Bag Policy and Size Limits
The Mexican GP allows small bags and backpacks, but the size limits depend on the type of bag you're bringing.
- Small backpacks and bags (transparent or opaque) must not exceed 10 × 15 × 30 cm (about 3.9 × 5.9 × 11.8 in)
- Handbags and purses (with or without straps) must not exceed 11 × 16 cm (about 4.3 × 6.3 in)
- Fanny packs and waist bags must not exceed 11 × 16 cm (about 4.3 × 6.3 in)
- Clear storage bags (e.g., Ziploc) must be medium-sized
Although clear bags are not mandatory, the organizers recommend transparent plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags.

Expect a security check typical of large-scale concerts and events. This may include an inspection of your bags and personal belongings, emptying your pockets, and a brief pat-down. Security reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone, particularly if they’re carrying a prohibited item. If your bag exceeds the size limit, leave it at your hotel or arrange storage before heading to the circuit.
Also note that the Mexican GP doesn't allow spectators to exit and re-enter the circuit on the same day.
