Going to the Marina Bay Street Circuit for the Singapore Grand Prix? Don’t get stuck at the gate or denied entry.
Read this guide to understand the circuit’s bag policy and security measures and avoid problems that could ruin your Formula 1 experience. We’ll provide you with the most important facts you need to know, including what you can and can’t bring, along with race-day essentials worth packing.
Bag Rules for the Singapore Grand Prix
According to the race organizers, the capacity of your bag must not exceed 20 liters.
What size is a bag under 20 liters? Think of a small daypack, waist bag, or compact backpack. A bag measuring roughly 12 x 8 x 12 inches (30 × 20 × 30 cm) holds about 18 liters and should be allowed by circuit security. However, since the rule focuses on capacity, not dimensions, check the liter capacity listed by your bag's manufacturer. As a general rule of thumb, avoid large backpacks, travel bags, or luggage.

There are no storage facilities for bags at the venue, so be mindful of what you bring.
Your bags may be checked at all gates and F1 Paddock Club entrances, so pack light to speed up the process. Security at the circuit reserves the right to inspect your bag and personal belongings before, during, and after the race. They can also deny you entry or remove you from the circuit if you’re found carrying a prohibited item.
If you run into issues or you find that your bag is too large for the Singapore GP, there are several paid luggage-storage services around Marina Bay, such as Bounce Storage and Nannybag outlets. Prices generally start from $5 (SGD 6.25) per bag/day.
