Michelin Stars & F1 Cars: The Culinary Grid of the Bellagio Fountain Club

In a city where everything is a show, even Formula 1 drivers have stiff competition.

At MGM’s Bellagio Fountain Club, that meant offering Formula 1 fans more than just a prime location to watch the race along Las Vegas Boulevard. The team at MGM cooked up a roster of celebrity chefs that would make even the pickiest of eaters jealous, with more Michelin stars than a military general. Titans like Jean-Georges Vongerichten, social media stars like Owen Han and H Woo Lee, and even actors-turned-chefs like Mark Wahlberg all gathered to entertain guests. As MGM Resorts CEO William Hornbuckle made clear, there was no lineup of chefs “like it anywhere in the world.”

Here are some of the big names—and their big dishes—that anyone lucky enough to score a ticket experienced.

Antonia Lofaso

Chef Antonia Lofaso at the Bellagio Fountain Club

Chef Antonia Lofaso is no stranger to the spotlight, but she is new to the Las Vegas culinary community. She recently moved from Los Angeles to Las Vegas to continue growing her brand and to add to her existing portfolio of LA-based restaurants DAMA, Scopa Italian Roots, and Black Market Liquor Bar.

"I mean these are icons. I'm standing next to Wolfgang Puck... Chef José actually saw me at the beginning of my career. To be able to share the stage... you have legends that are on all sides."

On the menu:

  • Fresh Ricotta Ravioli - brown butter, parmesan, chive, caviar
  • Filet - pickled chili, lettuce cup, hoisin aioli, shiso

José Andrés

Chef José Andrés at the Bellagio Fountain Club

A name you can’t hide from anywhere on the Strip, chef José Andrés brought energy and laughter to the Bellagio stage. While we didn’t get to try his famous Spanish tapas, we did hear all about his love for jamón ibérico when he ‘crashed’ our conversation with Antonia Lofaso by giving her a big bear hug.

"Sometimes the world is crazy. Many of us come from different cities... everybody's always traveling. Even when we go visit each other’s restaurants the chef is not there. So moments like this are very cool because it's a good celebration. It's a moment that you see long time friends."

On the menu:

  • Jose’s Taco - jamón ibérico de bellota, caviar
  • Tarta de Queso Con Trufas - burnt Basque cheesecake, white truffles

Masaharu Morimoto

Chef Masaharu Morimoto at the Bellagio Fountain Club

Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto had more energy than some of the F1 cars on the track! This was his third year at the Las Vegas Grand Prix, and he made sure to tell us each year he gets more and more excited. Who’s he rooting for? That’d be hometown hero Yuki Tsunoda.

"Enjoy Formula 1 car racing and enjoy food. That's the only one rule... Sushi okay, sashimi okay, French okay, pizza okay... anything okay. Formula 1."

On the menu:

  • Ajitama and Caviar - soy marinated boiled egg, white sturgeon caviar
  • A5 Beef Shabu Shabu - ramen noodle, green onion
  • Live Tuna Deconstruction Demo with Maki Rolls

Olivia Tiedemann

Chef Olivia Tiedemann at the Bellagio Fountain Club

Private chef turned content creator Olivia Tiedemann brought her unique style and massive social media following to the Fountain Club. Known for her deadpan humor, ‘cool girl’ vibe, and elite music taste, she represents the new generation of culinary stars. Olivia said she was nervous cooking last year at her first LVGP, but this year she was “primed.”

"Being here, getting to meet these really huge chefs is cool as [hell]... Jean-George is like the cutest thing I've ever seen on the face of the earth. Later on today, I'm going to do something with Morimoto, which is crazy. I might shake."

On the menu:

  • Steak Frites - peppercorn mornay, gremolata
  • Apple Pie Flan - caramel brittle

Wolfgang and Byron Puck

Chefs Wolfgang and Byron Puck at the Bellagio Fountain Club

Wolfgang Puck has a long history in Formula 1. He’s become a fixture of the paddock which he credited, in part, to his relationship with Lawrence Stroll, the owner of the Aston Martin F1 Team. He’s directly partnered with the team to cater to guests of their hospitality suite, and he’s been seen trackside sharing the experience with his family, including son Byron Puck who is Director of Food, Beverage, & Hospitality at the Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group.

"The F1 experience in Las Vegas is bar none. You cannot get a better experience... You have the Bellagio Club here which is amazing. You get the best food and drinks and watch F1. I mean, life can't be better." - Wolfgang Puck
"The energy in the city is just so palpable. Always, yes, but during F1 week there's something different about it. It's so special. So many people flock to Las Vegas just for this event." - Byron Puck

On the menu:

  • Maine Lobster and Gulf Shrimp “Louis Cocktail”
  • Grilled Soy-mirin Lamb Chops - cilantro-mint vinaigrette
