The Best Fan Zones and Events at the Australian GP 2026

Traveling to Australia for the 2026 Australian Grand Prix? Make sure you don't miss out on these events, activities and fan zones happening all throughout the weekend!

Formula 1 is FINALLY back with the Australian Grand Prix kicking off the start of the 2026 season! This year, the Grand Prix will run from Thursday March 5th to Sunday March 8th.

Known as one of the most popular races for the fans, the Australian Grand Prix has a variety of things to do when there are no cars on track. Like many other tracks, the AusGP will have their own entertainment schedule featuring a variety of activities for fans to enjoy.

ON TRACK

F1 Fan Zone

The F1 Fan Zone is the main hub where fans can go to locate food and beverage options. This is also where race goers can expect to find different merchandise options available for purchase. Lastly, the F1 Fan Zone will be the one that hosts different car displays as well as certain brand activations for fans to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the race weekend.

Entertainment at the Lakeside Festival

The Lakeside Festival serves as the central hub for the music and entertainment for the weekend. With the Australian Grand Prix being the first race of the F1 season, the musical lineup is meant to start the 2026 year off strong! There are three confirmed headlines for the race weekend.

OFF TRACK

Free Fan Event at Federation Square

The F1 Fan Zone is the main hub where fans can go to locate food and beverage options. This is also where race goers can expect to find different merchandise options available for purchase. Lastly, the F1 Fan Zone will be the one that hosts different car displays as well as certain brand activations for fans to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the race weekend.

McLaren Mastercard F1 Team X PUMA

In support of McLaren's new partnership with PUMA, the team will be hosting a Pop Up event at the 2026 Australian Grand Prix. This event will offer fans a prime viewing location at Ignition Beach St Kilda as well as other exclusive merch options and activations.

There will be a 2026 show car on display, offering fans an incredible photo opportunity and chance to see an F1 car up close. Have you ever wanted to test your skills as a driver? Now is the chance! There will be an array of racing simulators, allowing visitors to race against each other and see how they would fare driver the Albert Park Street Circuit.

Atlassian Williams Fan Zone Presented by Kraken

Williams will be bringing back their fan zones for the 2026 season. This year, Williams will be hosting events at the Australian Grand Prix, in Miami, London, Madrid, Singapore, Austin and then ending off their 'world tour' in Las Vegas at the Las Vegas Grand Prix.

This will be the third season in a row where Williams kicked off their Fan Zone world tour in Australia. The Fan Zone is also a favourite amongst race goers. Fans can expect a variety of activities and events over the course of the week!

What to expect

  • Q&A sessions with drivers and team members(date and time TBD)
  • Racing Simulators
  • Komatsu's haul truck simulator
  • Batak Machine reflex testing
  • Exclusive merchandise

Quad Lock OP Pop-Up Store

Calling all Oscar Piastri fans! Come support the home hero at this year's Quad Lock x OP Pop Up store at the 2026 Australian Grand Prix! This pop up store will run for the week of the Grand Prix and will be the best place to purchase exclusive Piastri merchandise!

Fans can also expect rare Piastri memorabilia as well as the new Quad Lock range landing in-store. There will also be a variety of competitions and activations for visitors to participate in.

The best part? Oscar himself will be coming by the Pop Up on Tuesday March 3rd at 7:30PM AEST! So, be sure to pop by and say hello to the McLaren driver while enjoying all of the engaging activities that will be offered!
