F1 Fantasy Winners and Losers: 2026 Italian Grand Prix

Winners

Kimi Antonelli

Qualifying: P7 (Started P19)

Race: P1

Kimi Antonelli stunned the crowd by going from P19 to P1 in a mere 25 laps after taking a grid penalty for a pre-planned engine change. The 20-year-old Italian then pitted under a virtual safety car, meaning that he had to overtake a grid full of World Champions, including Lando Norris and Max Verstappen, on his way to battle his teammate, George Russell, for the lead. He made the final, decisive move in the last 4 laps of the race and became the first Italian to win the Italian Grand Prix since 1966. He was well-rewarded for his efforts, with the highest F1 Fantasy single-race score ever—93 points—and an $0.3M price increase. He received this score through his stunning overtakes, 18 positions gained, the fastest lap, and Driver of the Day win to top it all off.

McLaren

Qualifying: P3 (Piastri) and P9 (Norris)

Race: P4 (Norris) and P5 (Piastri)

McLaren looked significantly less strong in Monza than in the previous two races throughout the weekend. Oscar Piastri started P6 after qualifying P3 but receiving a 3-place grid penalty for impeding Liam Lawson. Piastri was then involved in quite a bit of yo-yo racing throughout the race with both Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen, and Lando Norris joined the party right at the end of the race when he passed Piastri for P4 on the last lap. Going from two wins in a row to both drivers finishing P4 and P5 might not seem like a win, but in F1 Fantasy, it was enough for them to be the second-highest-scoring constructor from the weekend, after Mercedes, with 77 points and an $0.6M price rise.

Yuki Tsunoda

Qualifying: P17

Race: P10

Yuki Tsunoda scored his first championship points of the season in his second race serving as a substitute for Racing Bulls by securing a P10 finish. Despite being knocked out in Q1 in 17th place, Tsunoda was able to make his way through the field to the points with an impressive nine overtakes and by only changing tires during the red flag, meaning that he didn’t have to serve a pit stop once racing resumed. He finished with 17 F1 Fantasy points and an $0.2M price increase.

Audi

Qualifying: P11 (Bortoleto) and P13 (Hulkenberg)

Race: P11 (Bortoleto) and P12 (Hulkenberg)

Audi finished just outside the championship points in Monza, which was disappointing, but their strong consistency still made them the highest-scoring midfield team in F1 Fantasy for the week. Their mechanics also orchestrated the fastest pit stop of the week, earning them an additional 10 F1 Fantasy points. They finished with 41 total F1 Fantasy points, their highest for the year, and an $0.6M price rise.

Losers

Aston Martin

Qualifying: P21 (Alonso) and P22 (Stroll)

Race: DNF (Alonso) and DNF (Stroll)

Aston Martin brought a barrage of upgrades post-summer break to help improve their various performance issues, which had been working for the last two races. However, in Monza, mechanical issues reared their ugly heads again, causing a double DNF for the team. Fernando Alonso’s car was able to be brought back to the pits successfully, but Lance Stroll’s breakdown did cause a Virtual Safety Car that various frontrunners used as an opportunity to take a cheap pit stop. They finished with -21 F1 Fantasy points.

Charles Leclerc

Qualifying: P4

Race: DNF

Charles Leclerc had a huge crash at the beginning of the race at Parabolica when his rear wheel left the asphalt and he lost control of the car. The impact into the tire barrier was severe, but he was cleared by the medical center. He was in the midst of battling Piastri and Verstappen for potential podium places at the time, but instead he came up empty-handed. Leclerc finished with -12 F1 Fantasy points and a $0.1M price drop.

Haas

Qualifying: P12 (Bearman) and P16 (Ocon)

Race: P15 (Bearman) and P16 (Ocon)

Even though Oliver Bearman received Ferrari’s new updated engine in his Haas car this race, it wasn’t enough for him to score any championship points. He unfortunately went backwards during the race, losing 3 positions from his starting grid spot. Haas ended up finishing P15 and P16 at the Italian Grand Prix, and they were the only constructor to lose value in F1 Fantasy over the weekend. They finished with 17 points and a $0.6M price drop.
