Lando Norris was the fastest McLaren in FP3, topping the session ahead of his teammate, Oscar Piastri, and the Red Bull of Max Verstappen
The drivers finished the final practice session of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix weekend. Oscar Piastri topped both FP1 and FP2 ahead of his McLaren teammate, Lando Norris. Gabriel Bortoleto brought out the red flag in FP1, ending the session early and Isack Hadjar brought out the red flag in FP2, but the drivers still had time to get back out on track. See what happened in the final practice ahead of qualifying:
- Franco Colapinto has replaced Jack Doohan ahead of the Imola Grand Prix
- The news was announced following the Miami Grand Prix but the Aregentinian driver only has five races with the team to prove himself
- Pierre Gasly was looking strong in FP2, finishing the session in P3 behind the McLaren of Lando Norris
- McLaren are once again looking to be the strongest contenders
- Oscar Piastri topped both FP1 and FP2 with Lando Norris following closely behind in P2
- Isack Hadjar nearly had a collision in the pit lane with one of the Williams drivers
- George Russell was heard on the radio, complaining that his Mercedes was feeling worse than it did during the Friday sessions
- Yuki Tsunoda was struggling and saying he was having no grip with his Red Bull
- His teammate, Max Verstappen only completed two flying laps during the session, but was able to put his Red Bull in P3
- Both of the Williams drivers are looking comfortable going around the circuit
- Albon and Sainz have finished in the top ten for all three practice sessions
- Sainz finished in P3 in FP1
- Lando Norris topped FP3 ahead of his teammate, Oscar Piastri and the Red Bull of Max Verstappen
