Brown challenges Wolff to box in Vegas

McLaren CEO Zak Brown has challenged Mercedes boss Toto Wolff to a boxing match in Las Vegas ahead of the Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix in November. He also expressed interest in organizing a race with Red Bull boss Christian Horner, whom he competed against in British Formula Three during the mid-1990s. Brown hopes that by 2025, McLaren will be consistently battling with Red Bull and Mercedes on track, as the team's long-awaited wind tunnel is set to be ready later this year.

Former sponsor sues Williams for $149 Million

ROKiT, the former title sponsor of the Williams F1 team, is demanding $149 million in compensation for reputational damages. Williams had previously won a legal case against ROKiT, being awarded over $32 million when the court ruled that the company had breached a three-year sponsorship deal that began in 2019. ROKiT's branding appeared on the cars in 2019 but was removed before the 2020 season due to missed payments. ROKiT now claims that Williams "fraudulently concealed" their lack of car development budget, which affected the company's reputation. The claim alleges that the team knowingly concealed their inability to develop the F1 car and, as a result, ROKiT has suffered significant financial loss and damage to their goodwill and business reputation.

Norris claims Pirelli tires below F1 standards

Lando Norris, a McLaren driver, criticized Pirelli Formula 1 tires for their role in the restart chaos during the 2023 Australian Grand Prix. Norris highlighted the lack of grip on the tires, which he believes contributed to the chaotic Turn 1 incidents. He argued that the current 23-inch Pirellis do not meet F1 standards and called them "terrible." Rookie driver Logan Sargeant also blamed tire temperatures for his collision with Nyck de Vries.

Four arrested in connection with Leclerc's watch theft

Italian police arrested four individuals linked to the theft of a luxury watch from Ferrari's F1 driver Charles Leclerc in 2021.
