Markus F, a former security guard for the Schumacher family, and his accomplice, Yilmaz T, tried to extort nearly $15 million from the family by stealing Michael Schumacher's medical data. They took two hard drives with 1500 files, including photos, videos, and medication lists about Schumacher's condition after his 2013 skiing accident. Yilmaz T contacted the family and threatened to publish the data online unless they paid. The family called the police, which led to the arrests of Markus F, Yilmaz T, and Yilmaz T's son.

McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown criticized how team meetings in Formula 1 are run, calling some approaches "embarrassing." He said teams often act in their own interests instead of what's best for the sport. Brown pointed out that Otmar Szafnauer initially disagreed with changes that would have helped McLaren but later supported similar changes for another team. He thinks teams should have less say in making decisions to ensure fairness, suggesting Formula 1 and the FIA take more control.

Pirelli says it's "impossible" to build test cars for the sport's new 2026 rules. These rules include narrower wheels and active aerodynamics, which makes previous testing methods with modified cars inadequate. Pirelli will now rely heavily on simulations until real 2026 cars are available for testing.
