The third Sprint weekend of the season has arrived as Formula 1 descends on South Beach for the Miami Grand Prix. The F1 Fantasy grid is expected to see the most divergence to date — some players will opt to use the Limitless chip, others will pivot to the meta lineup, while a few may react to upgrades and practice results for unique lineup combinations. Here are The Fantasy Formula's Buy and Sell rankings for Miami:

McLaren
McLaren's fantasy stock is on the rise this week following claims from Andrea Stella that the papaya-clad team plan to run a "completely new car". Lando Norris earned his first Formula 1 victory at the 2024 Miami Grand Prix in a heavily-upgraded MCL38, so McLaren's upgrades carry a proven history of impacting performance right away. Oscar Piastri's first podium of the season in Japan last time out proved that McLaren already had a competitive package in 2026, so news of additional improvements fuels speculation that Piastri and Norris could compete for the race win.
For teams considering the Limitless chip this weekend, McLaren stands out as a high-upside alternative to Ferrari as the second constructor. Norris's history at this circuit (2 Grand Prix podiums plus 1 Sprint podium) warrants a roster spot on Limitless teams as well, but the 2025 World Champion remains a Sell for non-chip teams due to his high price and unreachable target for a maximum price gain (81 points).
Kimi Antonelli
The consensus 2X Boosted driver in the newest meta lineup, Antonelli looks to maintain his momentum this weekend. F1 Fantasy's #1 driver enters the weekend with an equal betting line to his teammate, George Russell, suggesting either Mercedes driver could take the win on Sunday. The scoring gap between Antonelli and Russell (39) is greater than Lando Norris's fantasy total through three races (35).
The pressure is on, however, if Antonelli is to remain the top F1 Fantasy driver in the coming weeks. The McLaren duo won the last two races in Miami and could challenge their engine manufacturer if their upgrades deliver immediately. Meanwhile, George Russell's pace is better than his results would suggest — an unfortunately-timed safety car ruined Russell's chances of a race win in Japan that was well within reach for the Briton.
Esteban Ocon

Boasting the second highest overtake total on the grid, Ocon has quietly delivered great value this season. He finished among the top 10 in three of the last four Miami Grands Prix and should be a popular replacement for Ollie Bearman, who will struggle to gain value in Canada and Monaco following his Japan DNF.
Ocon needs 0 points to gain $0.6M and -8 points to gain $0.2M, so not even a Sprint DNF can derail his likely price gain. F1 Fantasy Tools currently predicts Ocon will score 13 points, ninth among all drivers.

Liam Lawson

Lawson leads all drivers with the best value in F1 Fantasy, 2.22 points per million. Owned on nearly one third of all teams in the Global League, Lawson is a must-have driver for cost cap gains and scoring potential. The only driver in Tier B with a negative target to gain $0.6M (-18 points), Lawson's value can increase even with a Grand Prix DNF since his $0.2M target sits at -24 points.
With his 35-point explosion in China falling off his three-race average after this weekend, Miami presents one of the easiest opportunities to capture a maximum price gain, but that window could close soon.
Nico Hulkenberg
Hulkenberg followed his Australia DNF with two strong performances, a pair of P11 finishes, at China and Japan. Audi's debut power unit vaulted the former Sauber duo of Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto from back markers to the upper midfield, with Bortoleto logging two Q3 appearances in the first three races.
As the second cheapest driver in F1 Fantasy with the third lowest target to gain $0.6M (1 point), Hulkenberg will be among the most added drivers in the game and leaps from the Sell category to a top Buy target.
Max Verstappen
Despite a flurry of personnel changes at Red Bull, the team remains tight-lipped about their current lack of pace. As of this writing, Red Bull is not reported to bring a major upgrade to Miami, leaving Verstappen as the highest profile Sell in F1 Fantasy. The four-time World Champion's stock has fallen a long way since his grid-leading 50 points in Australia. Avoid Verstappen and the Red Bull constructor until they contend for podiums, which is likely several races away given the performance of Mercedes-powered cars.
