F1 Fantasy Winners and Losers: 2026 Belgian Grand Prix

Winners

Ferrari

Qualifying: P5 (Leclerc) and P6 (Hamilton) 

Race: P2 (Leclerc) and P4 (Hamilton)

Ferrari continues to show strong pace as a second force compared to Mercedes. Perhaps even more important than pace, though, was that the Scuderia was able to finish the Belgian Grand Prix with both cars, something Mercedes has struggled with recently. There were some dicey moments throughout the race when Lewis Hamilton made contact with Russell and Leclerc was involved in an incident with Piastri, but both Ferraris were able to continue on damage-free and finish strongly. The same couldn’t be said for George Russell (more on that when I get to the losers). They ended as the highest-scoring F1 Fantasy team with 71 points, and they gained another $0.3M price rise.

Isack Hadjar

Qualifying: P10 (Started P21)

Race: P6

Isack Hadjar took a 30-place grid penalty in the Belgian Grand Prix, rendering his Q3 appearance useless for anything more than practice laps and an opportunity to give a strong tow to his teammate, Max Verstappen. Thankfully, Hadjar’s car had pace, so he turned a P21 starting position into a P6 finish even after pitting three times. Hadjar lost an average of 23.96 seconds in each pit stop and vaulted up 15 places to finish P6. Hadjar finished with 38 F1 Fantasy points and a $0.6M price rise.

Gabriel Bortoleto

Qualifying: P9

Race: P8

Audi’s young Brazilian driver has scored all the Championship points for the new Audi team so far this year, and he added to his tally once again in Belgium with a strong drive to finish P8. Audi has faced reliability issues so far in their maiden campaign, but Gabriel Bortoleto has shown he has the talent to navigate the challenges and still capitalize on issues at top teams to sneak into the points. He finished with 8 F1 Fantasy points and a $0.6M increase in budget.

Franco Colapinto

Qualifying: P13

Race: P10

The midfield highlight of the race might have been Franco Colapinto’s double overtake at Eau Rouge on both Liam Lawson and his teammate, Pierre Gasly. The move put him in the points as he went from P12 to P10 in one turn—he had gained a position from P13 to P12 as a result of George Russell’s DNF. He earned the last Championship point available in P10. Colapinto has been one of the most reliable F1 Fantasy price gainers this year, as he hasn’t recorded a negative F1 Fantasy score a single time so far this season. He finished with 8 F1 Fantasy points and a $0.6M price gain.

‍Losers

George Russell

Qualifying: P4

Race: DNF

George Russell’s weekend started off poorly when he qualified P4, five-tenths off his teammate. It only got worse on the opening lap of the race, after a battery deployment issue and collision with Lewis Hamilton caused him to spin off in the gravel, unable to continue on in the race. While Mercedes has been the team to beat this year on pure pace, both Russell and Antonelli have faced their fair share of unlucky reliability issues and racing incidents. This week was another one for George, who finished with -11 F1 Fantasy points and a $0.1M price drop.

Pierre Gasly

Qualifying: P12

Race: P11

Unfortunately, Pierre Gasly was the driver in the ever-dreaded 11th place—the first place that doesn’t score Championship points—and he finished behind his younger teammate, Franco Colapinto. At least Gasly qualified P12, earning him one F1 Fantasy point for gaining a position during the race. He finished the weekend with 8 F1 Fantasy points, which isn't the worst-case scenario for a midfield driver, but his $0.2M budget loss is painful. Gasly remains $1.8M more expensive for players than Colapinto, and so far Colapinto has been the better value-for-budget option.

Cadillac

Qualifying: P19 (Bottas) and P20 (Perez)

Race: P18 (Bottas) and DNF (Perez)

Cadillac ended as the lowest-scoring F1 Fantasy constructor in the Belgian Grand Prix, after a retirement from Sergio Perez due to a mechanical issue and a P18 finish from Valtteri Bottas. The team scored -17 F1 Fantasy points, trailing the second-worst team, Aston Martin, with -13 F1 Fantasy points. While there have been bright spots for the new American team, they still have a lot of work to do before they can be a reliable asset for F1 Fantasy teams. They lost another $0.6M in value, bringing their total price to just $3.6M. One more loss like this and they will hit the price floor.
