For every race on the Formula 1 calendar, players answer ten questions to predict various outcomes of the Grand Prix weekend. These predictions include podium finishers, the DHL Fastest Pit Stop winner, and a variety of multiple-choice questions pitting drivers and constructors against one another. A new round begins on Wednesday before cars take the track for practice.

Predictions lock five minutes before Qualifying begins or, on Sprint weekends, five minutes before the Sprint race. A countdown clock at the top of the page tracks the remaining time before picks lock.

Points for each answer are assigned based on how likely the outcome is. For example, predicting that a back marker driver will finish on the podium is worth more points than predicting the same outcome for the reigning World Drivers’ Champion.

Much like F1 Fantasy, F1 Predict allows players to place the 2X Chip on a single question. This powerup is available every race and scores for the 2X-boosted prediction are doubled.

Leagues and Prizes

Players are automatically entered into the Global League when they sign up. Scores accumulate from each race and the player who scores the most points over the course of the season is crowned the Global League Champion. First place receives a £300 voucher for the F1 Store, second place wins a £200 voucher, and third place receives a £100 voucher.

For 2026, F1 partnered with Allwyn for an all-new F1 Predict league with incredible prizes. The winner of The Allwyn League earns two Paddock Club tickets with accommodations and off-track experiences for a 2027 Grand Prix. Second place takes home a signed replica helmet from 2025 World Champion, Lando Norris, and third place wins four Grandstand tickets to a 2027 Grand Prix.

The 2024 F1 Fantasy Champion ranks 33^rd in the F1 Predict Global League entering the summer break by consistently finding high-value picks. But his #1 tip for success? Never miss a race weekend. According to Andrew, “The biggest mistake F1 Predict managers make is forgetting to do predictions each week. F1 Predict often gets overlooked compared to F1 Fantasy, resulting in people forgetting to make predictions."

Set Early, Adjust Often 

Andrew sets his initial picks on Wednesday when the game opens and refines them throughout the week. He carefully watches all three practice sessions as the running order develops and monitors social media forbreaking news about grid penalties. Practice data is so powerful that Andrew called it “the most important factor in making predictions.”

Driver histories at each circuit are less predictive this season because, according to Andrew, the 2026 regulations and major upgrade packages can completely rewrite a driver’s history at a particular circuit.

Use Betting Lines

For head-to-head driver matchups, Andrew relies on betting lines since sportsbooks consider dozens of factors that may not be obvious from watching the action on track. Fuel load, tire age, and teammates carrying different setups all impact the lap times recorded on Friday, and betting lines reveal the true potential of each driver. Betting lines shift after each session, giving players the latest information before predictions lock.

Always 2X Your Podium Pick

The most critical pick for Andrew is his podium prediction —by selecting three drivers, the podium prediction has the highest scoring potential of any question in F1 Predict. For this reason, Andrew always uses the game’s biggest powerup on his podium predictions, “I always pick the podium for my 2X Chip. I never consider any other questions since the upside on the first question is bigger than any other question.” At the season opener in Australia, Andrew scored 140 points by correctly predicting all three podium positions and playing the 2X Chip.

Look Beyond the Favorites

To score even more points with his podium predictions, Andrew often targets the fourth most likely driver to finish on the podium as his P3 pick. He uses long run data from Friday’s practice sessions to find drivers with strong race pace to challenge for a podium on Sunday.

“Sometimes the 4th best driver can snipe a podium and sneak in a P3, which can be infuriating if you don’t have them but amazing if you have them."

These picks are valuable because F1 Predict rewards unlikely outcomes — picking drivers who beat expectations is a key advantage.

Upgrades Unlock Value 

Finally, performance upgrades unlock more value picks since each round of F1 Predict opens before the cars hit the track for practice. If a driver in an upgraded car classifies higher in practice than they did in recent races, F1 Predict players can select these drivers as high-upside differentials that score even more points.
