Will Power: The Australian Driver Making History in IndyCar

With two championships and the most poles in history, Will Power is a force to be reckoned with.

Explore the Aussie icon’s net worth, height, and his journey from Toowoomba to Indy 500 glory.

Brief overview of Will Power’s career in motorsport

William Steven Power is an Australian racing driver who competes in the IndyCar Series. He won the championship in 2014 and again in 2022 with Team Penske, one of the most successful teams in American open wheel racing.

Before moving to the United States, Power built his reputation in Australia. In 1999, at just 18, he won the Queensland Formula Ford Championship and claimed his first major title. That early success pushed him toward opportunities overseas.

He stepped into top level North American competition in 2006 when he joined Champ Car with Team Australia. After the series merged with IndyCar in 2008, he transitioned into the unified championship and became a full time IndyCar driver. Power has also explored endurance racing. In 2023, he started competing in IMSA events with Porsche Penske Motorsport, including the Rolex 24 at Daytona in Florida.
