If you’re traveling around the world to Formula 1 races then you’re probably no stranger to high-end credit cards like the American Express Platinum and Chase Sapphire Reserve. But whether you’ve carefully crafted a system to use each card for the right category at the right time—travel, shopping, dining, groceries, oh my!—or you’ve opted for the peace of mind of using just one, you’ll be well aware that the game has shifted in recent months. Both Amex and Chase have raised annual fees and overhauled their benefits programs in favor of "couponification," with many perks tied to offsetting subscription fees, such as Chase’s complimentary Apple TV+ (which helps with the new F1 x Apple TV partnership) and Amex’s $300 digital entertainment credit.
While there are spend-savvy sites dedicated to min-maxing the straightforward credit card benefits, we decided to look ‘beyond the coupon’ and see how American Express is capitalizing on their expanded partnership with Formula 1 to deliver exclusive access for the people who matter most—us Formula 1 fans—at the Las Vegas Grand Prix! So, get your wallet ready and keep reading to find out how to make race day better with Amex.
Note: You don’t need an Amex Platinum or Centurion Card to access some great F1 race weekend perks. We’ve noted where all American Express Card Members can benefit!
At the track
American Express partnered with Formula 1 and really leaned in on the trackside perks, including an exclusive viewing area! Here are all the ways you can leverage your Amex card around the circuit.
Race Radios
All American Express Card Members can pick up their complimentary Race Radio to listen in on all the on-track action! Pick up locations will be situated all across the circuit, with fast-track pickup available for Platinum Card Members at select locations. Race Radios are a great alternative to relying on your cellphone and the F1 app for the broadcast.
Keep in mind that the radios are available as long as supplies last.
Amex Fan Experience in the East Harmon Zone

The American Express Fan Experience activation is open and accessible to everyone with access to the East Harmon and Koval Zones. Situated in the East Harmon Zone, it will feature a variety of activities including the chance for you to design your own livery, film personalized driver intros, and score exciting giveaways. Lines can get long, so we recommend going early or during sessions to take part in the fun!
Amex Trackside Lounge
Platinum Card Members with tickets in the East Harmon or Koval Zones will have exclusive access to the American Express Trackside Lounge located at Turn 1 for one session per day. Here you can take advantage of Amex’s unique hospitality space with unobstructed views of the track. While you’re there, be sure to try their exclusive cocktail, the P1 Spritz.
Accessing the Trackside Lounge requires a reservation which can only be made same day and in-person. Card Members can bring one guest and are limited to one reservation per day. Keep in mind that access is limited (reserve early!) and that you must be 21+ years of age to consume alcohol in the space.
Premium Events Collection
Platinum Card and Centurion Members who purchased tickets through the Premium Events Collection are invited to take part in a three-day experience. Ticket Holders receive access to the Amex Paddock Club Suite all racing days as well as exclusive access to Paddock Tours, Pit Lane Walks, Truck Tours, Photo Safaris, and even a special meet and greet with a racing expert.
Off-track
The on-track experience is only half of the fun! American Express has implemented a few off-track activations to make sure your entire race weekend is covered.
High Roller Observation Wheel

The High Roller Observation Wheel offers all Amex Card Members complimentary daily rides during the race weekend. Card Members are allowed to bring up to three guests each, and
Platinum cardholders can take part in an exclusive CHANDON wine tastings on Friday and Saturday (November 21st and 22nd) from 2-8PM. Platinum Card Members can bring one guest for the wine tasting but capacity is limited and access is granted on a first come, first served basis. You must be 21+ to participate in the wine tasting.
1850 by American Express
Platinum and Centurion Card Members will be able to take advantage of the 1850 by American Express pop-up located at the ARIA Resort & Casino. This exclusive pop up experience promises a curated hospitality space where you can unwind with themed cocktails and complimentary light bites among DJ sets, a photobooth, and other exciting offerings.
The 1850 lounge is open seven days a week from 2-9pm November 13th through December 17th (excluding Thanksgiving Day). Capacity is limited with walk-ins subject to availability, so you’re encouraged to book a reservation through Resy starting ten days in advance for the desired reservation date. As for the guest policy, if you have a Platinum card you can bring one guest while Centurion Card Members can bring up to three.
Exclusive Merch at the F1 Hub

The Venetian Resort is hosting the F1 Hub presented by American Express, the must-visit shop for unique and limited-edition LVGP merchandise. Here you’ll find the new collections like Disney x Formula 1 and Hello Kitty x F1 Academy alongside returning collaborations with Malbon and more!
Amex Card Members will have access to a dedicated space where they can shop limited-edition Malbon and Hello Kitty merchandise. Amex Card Members can bring a guest, while Platinum cardholders can score a complimentary gift wrap kit.
As a bonus, eligible Amex Card Members can enroll to score 10% back (up to $10) when they make a qualifying purchase at the F1 HUB. This benefit also applies to official F1 stores at the track. Note, for this offer to be accepted at checkout you must first confirm you’re eligible and enroll on American Express’s website.
You can find the F1 Hub on the second floor at the Venetian Resort.
Dinner with Resy
If you have an Amex Platinum Card then put your $100 quarterly Resy credit to use by booking one of the exclusive tables and experiences available through Global Dining Access by Resy. Card Members will have exclusive access to some of the hottest restaurants in Las Vegas, including COTE Vegas (an annex of the New York City staple), Carbone, CARBONE Riviera, The Mayfair Supper Club, and Gymkhana. Be sure to book your reservations early as capacity is limited and all these spots are in high demand!
Tickets and travel
The race experience doesn’t even matter if you can’t get to Vegas! Leverage these offers and perks to add some comfort and joy to your Grand Prix weekend.
Centurion Lounges
If you’re flying in, be sure to stop by Centurion Lounges in Los Angeles and Las Vegas on select days to score limited-edition F1 giveaways and sample race-inspired snacks. The American Express Centurion Lounge at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) will offer these perks on November 20th and 21st, while Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) will offer them on November 23rd and 24th.
Hotel Credits and Room Upgrades

Leverage your annual hotel credit by booking a stay at one of 20 properties in Las Vegas that are a part of Amex’s Fine Hotels + Resorts and The Hotel Collection offerings. Eligible Card Members who book their travel and stay through Amex Travel can take advantage of numerous benefits including a $100 property credit on eligible charges as well as a room upgrade upon arrival when available. It is important to note that there are certain room categories that are ineligible for an upgrade.
Fine Hotels + Resorts also includes daily complimentary breakfast for two and, for those who enjoy sleeping in after staying up late for the night race, a guaranteed 4:00PM check-out.
