The IndyCar season finale takes place in none other than Music City, also known as Nashville! No wonder they call it the Music City Grand Prix! Although the fans are inevitably getting treated to tons of high speed action on the track, there is so much to see and do off the track as well.
Held at the Nashville Superspeedway, the Music City Grand Prix is one of the most looked forward to races of the entire season, and it’s not just because it’s the grand finale.
The track fan zone has numerous activities and stands for fans to engage with while they’re at the circuit, before, during, and after any on-track action. Once the on track action has concluded at the end of the day, fans can make their way to downtown Nashville where there is another slew of events taking place.
From live music performances to driver appearances, there isn’t a single second that isn’t filled with the race weekend fun.
What to do at the track
Fans are guaranteed high-speed, on- track action at the Nashville Superspeedway, but there are also a ton of other things to do and see while at the track for the race weekend!
Fan Zone
Located in the fan zone are a plethora of stands ranging from merchandise stands, food and beverage options, activations, popups and more! Here fans can find exclusive merchandise to commemorate their race weekend experience. In 2025, Josef Newgarden collaborated with the NASH collection to release a limited supply of merchandise for the Music City Grand Prix. Another exciting pop up was the Grandstand Project. Sherry Ma created the Grandstand Project back in 2023 and it is an all female run merchandise company that promotes and supports women in the industry.

After all the shopping, fans are sure to get hungry! There are numerous cuisines and beverage options located within the fan zone to keep race attendees fueled for the action. One special pop up was the Java House pop up in partnership with Ed Carpenter Racing. Throughout the weekend, there were numerous Happy Hours where fans could receive free coffee, but what’s better than free coffee? Free coffee AND free alcohol! In honor of their Happy Hours, the Java House pop up was also offering free espresso martinis at certain points throughout the weekend which was a fun way to incorporate and promote their coffee brand and products.

All throughout the weekend, fans can expect to find live music at the fan stage. It varies from musical artists to live DJs, but there was not a moment of silence in the fan zone! On the Sunday before the race, fans were very excited to see some special guests take to the stage. The All American Rejects kicked off the Sunday festivities with a pre-race concert and the atmosphere was unreal! Then, Nicolas Vansteenberghe, also known as ‘Nic from Love Island’ was the guest DJ during the driver walkouts! It’s always exciting when IndyCar hosts special guests that bring in new fans to the sport, and I think every single person at the circuit was excited to have Nic on stage controlling the crowd. There was also a special appearance by Dave Portnoy, President of Barstool Sports, who walked across the stage and took part in a single-seater experience.

Then, for the grand finale, all 27 IndyCar drivers walked across the stage, tossing hats and waving to the fans ahead of the Grand Prix. The driver walkouts are a tradition at each race, but there is something special about seeing it at the last race of the IndyCar season!
The best part about the fan zone? The fact that it’s located right behind the main grandstand at the circuit! It is so easy to access and if you’re coming from a different part of the track, there is a shuttle service to ensure the fans' race weekend experience remains seamless and easy.
Off the track
The party doesn't stop when the racing does. Nashville's legendary downtown, specifically Broadway street, plays host to numerous events, clubs, bars, restaurants and more, all throughout the year, but specifically during the race weekend!
Fans can continue their IndyCar fun with the special live concert on the Friday night that saw a few driver appearances ahead of the race weekend! This took place right downtown on Broadway street which was very convenient for anyone planning to go out after as everything is within walking distance.
Looking for the best way to see the city? Take a Sprocket Rocket Party Bike around downtown! The FanAmp team partnered with Sprocket Rocket for a This Week in Racing video where we chatted with David Land and Tony Donohue about the state of the IndyCar series and our favorite highlights from the 2025 season. It was such a great way to see Nashville under the lights and can be such a fun experience with a group of friends!

The nightlife in Nashville is well known for its live music, rambunctious bars, numerous food options and overall incredible atmosphere. If you’re looking for a fun way to close out your days at the race weekend, head down to Broadway for a variety of late-night options that suit you! Most of the bars in Nashville have rooftops, allowing for visitors to get a panoramic view of the glowing lights on Broadway. If you’re lucky… you may just run into a driver during the weekend!

The Music City Grand Prix has some of the most fun fan experiences for people to partake in. Whether that’s at the Nashville Super Speedway during the on-track action or it’s downtown Broadway exploring the live music and bright lights. Fans are guaranteed a good time so make sure to check out some of these options ahead of next season!
