F1 Fantasy Winners and Losers: 2026 United States Grand Prix

Kimi Antonelli hasn’t clinched the Formula 1 World Championship yet, but he inched ever closer during the United States Grand Prix as he took another pole position and won the race. While the young Italian continued to take centerstage, it was Charles Leclerc who shone brightest. His near-constant pressure on Antonelli throughout the weekend and a podium finish for Ferrari, put him at the top of the F1 Fantasy driver charts. F1 Winners and Losers from the US Grand Prix below…

Winners

Charles Leclerc

Qualifying: P4

Race: P2

Charles Leclerc provided ample entertainment all the way from the start of the race when he jumped from P4 to P2 at the first turn of the track. Leclerc fought wheel-to-wheel with Max Verstappen for the podium places, swapping positions throughout the race, but Leclerc was able to emerge victorious in their fight and finish in second behind Antonelli. Leclerc also had the fastest lap and won Driver of the Day. The Ferrari driver finished as the highest-scoring F1 Fantasy driver with 53 points and a $0.3M price gain.

‍

McLaren

Qualifying: P7 (Piastri) and P8 (Norris)

Race: P7 (Piastri) and P5 (Norris)

McLaren may not have finished the race on the podium, but they were the second-highest-scoring F1 Fantasy team of the weekend, only behind Ferrari. Their mechanics earned the fastest pit stop of the race, scoring 15 F1 Fantasy points. Additionally, both McLarens tried the alternative one-stop strategy, which allowed Lando Norris to gain three positions throughout the race, going from P8 to P5. Oscar Piastri was also able to hold off George Russell, despite the fact that Russell was on fresher tires. They finished with 58 F1 Fantasy points and a $0.3M price gain.

‍

Lance Stroll

Qualifying: P18, started from the pit lane

Race: P15

Lance Stroll and his Aston Martin have struggled immensely this season, having completed all the laps in less than half of the races thus far. However, in Austin, Stroll was able to gain seven positions from his pit lane start and finished solidly within the midfield. He was also able to overtake five drivers on his way. He finished with 12 F1 Fantasy points, and he was the second-highest-scoring F1 Fantasy midfield driver from the race. His budget remained unchanged.

‍

VCARB

Qualifying: P9, started P14 (Lindblad) and P10, started P9 (Lawson)

Race: P12 (Lindblad) and P9 (Lawson)

VCARB was the highest-scoring F1 Fantasy midfield team of the week. Together, Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad were able to score the team a total of nine overtake points throughout the race. However, Lindblad was disappointed to not make his way back into the points after making it to Q3 in Qualifying and taking a five-place grid penalty thereafter. VCARB scored a total of 31 F1 Fantasy points and gained $0.6M in value.

‍

Losers

George Russell

Qualifying: P6

Race: P8

George Russell struggled all weekend in Austin, while his teammate, Kimi Antonelli, took pole position and the race win. He was unable to string together a strong lap in Qualifying, having to settle for P6 and the third row. During the race, he was handed an early five-second penalty for overtaking Oscar Piastri after leaving the track, and he was never able to recover. He lost positions to both McLaren drivers during the race, and he finished with just nine F1 Fantasy points and a $0.3M price drop.

‍

Franco Colapinto

Qualifying: P14

Race: DNF

Franco Colapinto was forced to retire his Alpine after 35 laps in the United States Grand Prix, earning him an automatic -20 F1 Fantasy points. He made contact with VCARB driver Arvid Lindblad, and his chassis was damaged to the point of no return. As a sliver of positivity, he was able to earn two F1 Fantasy points for overtakes made prior to his retirement. Colapinto ended with -18 F1 Fantasy points and a -$0.6M price change.

‍

Cadillac

Qualifying: P21, started P18 (Perez) and P22, started P19 (Bottas)

Race: P19 (Perez) and DNF (Bottas)

Cadillac was the worst-performing F1 Fantasy team from the weekend, with Valtteri Bottas failing to finish the race and Sergio Perez the last of the finishers. The newest F1 team continued to struggle with both reliability and pace throughout the weekend, and they were unable to fight with even the lower-midfield teams. Cadillac finished with -18 F1 Fantasy points and no change to their price.
