Teams kept the third practice clean as they neared Qualifying in Austria
One last hour for teams to practice at the Austrian Grand Prix came and went without any major developments. Teams took the time to rubber in the track while gathering any final data.
- The first three-quarters of the session saw teams trading times with McLaren's Lando Norris posting the fastest lap time by nearly 7-tenths
- Rookie Isack Hadjar ran wide into the final corner, hitting the gravel trap and losing the rear of the car to a spin. Luckily, the French driver regained control and was able to complete the lap rather than ending up in the barrier
- The Ferraris inched higher up the timing pylon in the final laps and so did Max Verstappen. Charles and Max were much closer in their pace compared to Lewis Hamilton who was off others by around 2-tenths
- Yuki Tsunoda lagged his teammate in both pace and laps. With 3 minutes left the Japanese driver had 9 fewer laps in the books and was 6-tenths off Max
- Max Verstappen found himself in the same 360-degree spin as Hadjar, laughing on the radio after escaping unscathed
- In the end the McLarens remained fastest, with Lando Norris finishing in P1 ahead of his teammate
