Haas seeks FIA review of Bearman’s disallowed lap
Haas has formally challenged the FIA's decision to delete Oliver Bearman's final qualifying lap at the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix, arguing he crossed the line before the red flag. TV footage and timing data showed Bearman reaching 10th place just before the red flag was signaled, but the FIA claimed he crossed after it was triggered. Despite delaying Q2 to review the situation, the FIA upheld their original call, citing timing system data and rule 37.6, which includes orange 'abort lap' lights as valid indicators. Haas has demanded written clarification and a plan to prevent similar issues, while Bearman called the decision unfair and accused the FIA of refusing to admit clear mistakes.

Why Pirelli’s C6 tire changed Imola qualifying
The new C6 super-soft tire, which was introduced this year for street circuits, was unpredictable and lost too much performance during a single lap in Imola qualifying. Drivers like Albon and Alonso struggled to decide between the C6 and the slightly harder C5, as the C6’s softness made it less reliable for race use. Teams risked sacrificing race strategy by using the C6 in qualifying due to limited tire sets and Imola’s long pitlane, which favors one-stop races. Despite this, Pirelli plans to keep using the C6 at future races to encourage more varied strategies and avoid one-stop race patterns.

Tsunoda demoted to pitlane start after violent crash
Yuki Tsunoda will start the 2025 Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix from the pit lane after crashing hard during qualifying. He lost control of his Red Bull at Variante Villeneuve and flipped through the air before slamming into the tire barriers. The crash damaged the car so badly that the team had to rebuild it using parts that go against FIA rules. Because of that, Tsunoda must start from the pit lane, and passing cars at Imola will be very hard.

The secret behind McLaren's tire trick
Right now, McLaren's rivals are all trying to figure out one thing, why is the team's 2025 F1 car so good at keeping its rear tires at the right temperature? No one outside the team knows for sure, but it's unlikely that one single thing is behind the car's performance.
