Drivers seek clearer penalty rules
After Oscar Piastri got a 10-second penalty at Interlagos, drivers said the rules are messy and penalties don’t make sense. They feel it makes racing harder and it’s unclear who is really at fault. Piastri and others want to talk to the FIA to clear things up. Some think having a small, fixed group of stewards would make decisions fairer and easier to follow.

NASCAR championship returns to Homestead Miami in 2026
NASCAR’s championship weekend returns to Homestead-Miami Speedway in 2026 after six years elsewhere. Track President Guillermo Santa Cruz worked to restore it because fans and the local community wanted it. Homestead is known for competitive racing and has a strong history with the championship. Santa Cruz wants the event to show the real South Florida and be fun for everyone.

F1 Academy signs long term partnership with LEGO
LEGO and F1 Academy made a new deal to help more young girls get into motorsport. LEGO will have its own car in F1 Academy in 2026, driven by Esmee Kosterman. They also showed a new LEGO set of her car that fans can pre-order now. Both groups want this deal to help girls see that they can be part of the sport too.

Sweden’s rising SailGP stars join Artemis
Artemis SailGP has added two young Swedish athletes, Hugo Christensson and Felicia Fernström, for its first full season in 2026. Both have competed in youth and women’s events in Sweden. They join a team led by Nathan Outteridge to make the squad stronger and more experienced. This move shows Artemis wants to grow and train new Swedish talent.

Jaminet and Chatin join Genesis WEC team
Genesis has completed its driver team for its first Hypercar season in the 2026 World Endurance Championship, Mathieu Jaminet from Porsche and Paul-Loup Chatin from Alpine. They join other experienced drivers Andre Lotterer, Pipo Derani, Mathys Jaubert, and Daniel Juncadella, while Jamie Chadwick serves as a backup. Both Jaminet and Chatin have lots of experience and will help the team develop its new GMR-001 car. They are excited about the challenge and ready to help Genesis compete at the top level.
