Stroll rules out Horner deal at Aston Martin

Lawrence Stroll has ruled out any deal with Christian Horner at Aston Martin, despite months of talks about a senior role. The team named Adrian Newey as team principal for next year, and Stroll said this structure will stay. Newey will focus on car design and performance, so it is unclear who will handle other team responsibilities. Horner now has other options, Alpine or a new F1 team.

NASCAR trial blown open by new evidence

The antitrust fight between 23XI Racing, Front Row Motorsports, and NASCAR worsens as the trial nears, fueled by leaked messages and documents. The plaintiffs’ 44-page exhibit list shows charter agreements, private team chats, media deals, track photos, profit and loss statements, and tax returns, all now public. Fans are angry and say NASCAR has too much control over who competes and who receives the money. Aston Martin signs Paatz for 2026 F1 Academy

Aston Martin has picked 17-year-old Mathilda Paatz to join its Driver Academy and race in the 2026 F1 Academy. She earned the spot after a test at Mugello where she was the quickest of four drivers. Paatz has raced in French F4, F4 CEZ and also did one F1 Academy race as a wild card. Aston Martin says she has speed, confidence and good attitude, and they will support her next year.

Rockwool lead opening day at SailGP championship

Rockwool Racing leads the Abu Dhabi Sail Grand Prix after two wins and two other strong results. Brazil and Italy sit in second place together, while big teams like Emirates GBR, Australia and Spain fall to the bottom in the light wind. The tight course causes many penalties, including an eight-point hit for Switzerland after contact with New Zealand. The teams race again later, and the top three then enter the Grand Final for the title and the prize money.

Audi names Visit Qatar main partner for 2026

Audi has confirmed Visit Qatar as a main partner for its first F1 season in 2026, after it buys the Sauber-run team. The deal adds to Audi’s partners, with title sponsor Revolut, as the team enters the sport under new technical rules. Team boss Jonathan Wheatley said the partnership will show Qatar’s culture, hospitality, and innovation to fans through events and experiences. Audi will race in 2026 with Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto as its drivers.
