Bottas ends Mercedes stint before switch
Valtteri Bottas took part in a Formula 1 show run in South Korea on Sunday, as F1 returned to the country for the first time since 2013. He used the 2022 Mercedes W13 to do laps and donuts in front of 25,000 fans at the AMG Speedway. It was his first time in the W13, since he left Mercedes before the 2022 season and didn’t race that car. Bottas is now a reserve driver for Mercedes and will return to full-time racing in 2026 with the new Cadillac F1 team.

This was the first time a road-based hypercar reached the podium in IMSA’s top class, and Valkyrie finished the season with seven top-10 results from eight races. It is the only hypercar built from a road car that took part in both IMSA and the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2025.
