Charles Leclerc dominates the second practice session in Monaco after Oscar Piastri brought out a red flag
It's the second free practice session of the Monaco Grand Prix weekend. Charles Leclerc topped the timesheets at his home race after having some difficulties in the early stages of FP1. Leclerc and Lance Stroll made contact, breaking the Monegasque's front wing and causing the Canadian driver to retire early in the session. See what happened in the second free practice session:
- Charles Leclerc topped FP1 ahead of Max Verstappen and Lando Norris
- Leclerc broke his front wing early on in the session after making contact with Lance Stroll
- Lance Stroll received a one place grid penalty for the race becuase of hte contact made and because he needs to change gearboxes
- Oscar Piastri triggered the red flag early on in FP2 after going into the barriers at Sainte Devote.
- He was able to reverse out of it and get himself back to the pit lane
- Isack Hadjar triggered the yellow flag with 10 minutes left in the session
- Franco Colapinto seemed to be struggling in the session and wasn't finding any pace in his Alpine car
- This is the young drivers' first time racing in Monaco in Formula 1
- Charles Leclerc topped the second practice session of the weekend
