Nick Tandy is a British racing driver known for his success in endurance racing, specifically in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. He has won some of the most famous long-distance races, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 24 Hours of Daytona

He has also claimed victories at major events such as Petit Le Mans and the 12 Hours of Sebring, making him one of the few drivers to complete the “Big Six” endurance racing wins.

Nick Tandy was born on November 5, 1984, in Bedfordshire, England. He grew up around motor racing, as his brother Joe [Tandy] also loved the sport and had a racing team. Nick Tandy began driving small cars at age eleven before moving up into higher racing categories. 

The loss of his brother Joe in a road accident in 2009 deeply affected him but also pushed him to work harder in his racing career. Nick Tandy now lives in Felmersham with his wife and two children.

Nick Tandy moved into the world of IMSA race competition after finding success in other sports car and endurance racing series. 

He became a Porsche factory driver in the early 2010s and started racing in top-level endurance events. His strong results in European GT and sports car racing attracted attention from American teams, which led to full-time participation in the IMSA SportsCar Championship.

Over the years, he has taken many wins and podium finishes in the series. His decision to focus on endurance racing helped establish him as a key driver in IMSA race events for Porsche Penske Motorsport.

Nick Tandy won the 24 Hours of Le Mans overall in 2015 with the Porsche 919 race car. He also won the 24 Hours of Daytona overall and the 12 Hours of Sebring in IMSA competition.
