*General Admission is nearly everywhere around the circuit on the map other than paddock/pits*
As a general admission ticketholder, you have access to a TON of viewpoints around the circuit... honestly nearly EVERY viewpoint on the circuit. These tickets do NOT have reserved seating or specific sections that you can visit. There is little to no coverage from the sun anywhere around the track. That being said, you have enough freedom that you may be able to find shade, or head over to the concessions for shade. You can sit or stand during any of the sessions and have access to large GA areas (I.e. the fountain zone) or you could choose to stand in front of a grandstand itself.
In order to access screens and speakers, you should choose a General Admission section near a grandstand (locations will be denoted below). There are restaurants, concessions and restrooms all over the track (genuinely EVERYWHERE), so you will likely be able to avoid very long lines for either. Additionally, the pedestrian bridges are easy to access.
Grandstand 5 is located just after the Fountain curve on the Long Beach track. This grandstand is very long with sections 1 - 5 (section 1 closest to the fountain), but is not very tall compared to other grandstands. All of the seats are metal benches - bringing a seat cushion is advisable! You will have a view of the straight leading into turn 6. While it does not have a screen, there are speakers that broadcast race commentary. It is very easy to access, as there is a circuit entrance directly behind the grandstand. Additionally, getting to other parts of the track is easy because there are 2 pedestrian bridges at this section. There are restrooms (port-a-potties) and a few food options behind the grandstands.
Grandstand 6 is located just after the Fountain curve on the Long Beach track directly next to Grandstand 5. This grandstand is slightly shorter than Grandstand 5, with sections 1 - 4 (section 1 closest to Grandstand 5), but is not very tall compared to other grandstands. You are also directly in front of the ferris wheel, if you want to ride during the session!
Grandstand 7 is located next to Grandstands 5 and 6 directly facing Turn 6. This grandstand is very small, with sections 1 - 3 (section 1 closest to Grandstand 6), and is not very tall compared to other grandstands. All of the seats are metal benches - bringing a seat cushion is advisable! You will have a view of turn 6 and parts of the straight. While it does not have a screen close by (it is across the turn and straight), there are speakers that broadcast race commentary. It is very easy to access, as there is a circuit entrance near the grandstand. Additionally, getting to other parts of the track is easy because there are 2 pedestrian bridges at this section. There are restrooms (port-a-potties) and a few food options behind the grandstands. This section (the grass pictured above) is also a wheelchair section!
Grandstand 16 is located along Turn 10 leading into the hairpin and directly next to Grandstand 18. You are also facing the IMSA Paddock! The rows themselves are numbered as well as the seats, but all of the seats are metal benches - bringing a seat cushion is advisable! It is also relatively easy to reach this grandstand - you can access it directly through the main fanzone area and there is an entrance to the paddock just behind the grandstand as well. Because it is so close to the fan zone, there are many concessions, restrooms and merch stands within 2 minutes of your seat! Just remember, although there is a Viewing Screen that is visible, it is very far away from the grandstand. This is a wheelchair friendly grandstand!
