Where to Eat

The restaurants in Monaco take culinary cues from their French and Italian neighbors with influences from their international clientele. Expect to see classic French brasseries next door to Asian fusion restaurants and international beach clubs. While some restaurants may break the bank, there are good value meals to be found. These are some of our favorite places to eat when visiting Monaco

Beachside Bites: La Note Bleue

La Note Bleue

Located on the beach, steps away from the center of town, this restaurant and lounge is the perfect escape for a casual lunch or all day romp. Feast on light Mediterranean fare such as salads, pizzas and other classic dishes. Where to Explore

Did you know that Prince Rainier and Grace Kelly are responsible for shaping Monaco into the country it is today? Under their stewardship they focused on patronizing arts and culture and raising Monaco’s international profile. They established beautiful gardens, specialized collections and restored classic architecture. These are some of our favorite places to explore when visiting Monaco

Prince's Car Collection

Prince’s Car Collection

Monaco is synonymous with car racing, so it comes as no surprise that the Monégasque Royal family are passionate car collectors. Prince Rainier III began collecting vintage cars in the 1950s with no particular collecting goal in mind.  The Prince purchased vehicles that interested him ranging from classic vintage Rolls Royces to simple Fiats. By the 90s the collection outpaced the royal garage space which led to the creation of the public museum. Located in the main harbor near the Grand Prix finish line, the collection is a must-stop for any visitor to Monaco. Open Daily, hours vary by season.

Jardin Exotique

Jardin Exotique

Perched atop a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, this exotic garden showcases an extraordinary collection of succulents and cacti from arid regions across the globe. The meticulously landscaped terraces not only offer panoramic views of Monaco but also provide a serene backdrop to the vibrant and diverse array of plants. With its captivating blend of colors, textures, and unique botanical specimens, the Jardin Exotique invites visitors to explore a captivating oasis, offering a tranquil escape from the glamour and excitement of Monaco.

Monte Carlo Casino

Monte Carlo Casino

A visit to Monaco is not complete without stepping inside the iconic Monte Carlo Casino. The belle epoque gaming rooms and elevated ambiance will make you feel like the star of your own Bond film. To enter the casino you must present your passport (no Monaco citizens allowed!) and pay a small fee to enter that is redeemable for a drink. The fee is sometimes waived if you are staying at certain hotels or have a booking at one of the restaurants located inside the Casino. Casual wear is acceptable during the morning hours however if you plan to enter the Casino at night plan to dress up. Women can wear dresses, skirts or slacks and  men should plan to wear a jacket - no tux necessary.

Where to Go Out

As the sun sets on the riviera, it's time to hit the town. Monaco is home to elegant cocktail bars and vibrant nightlife - expect international DJs and other performers to entertain you late into the night. These are our favorite places to enjoy nightlife in Monaco

Le Bar Américain

Le Bar Américain

Located in the Hôtel de Paris de Monte-Carlo, Le Bar Américain is the quintessential classic cocktail bar. The wood paneled room and soft lighting sets the scene for elegantly crafted cocktails and elevated light bites. Later in the evening enjoy live jazz and other performers.
