How ride height issues are costing Ferrari in 2025

Ferrari’s 2025 season has been heavily affected by ride height issues following its double disqualification at the Chinese Grand Prix, which forced the team to lift its cars for safety and lose downforce. This compromise not only reduced performance on track but also diverted focus from other critical areas like tire preparation and qualifying strategy, costing them ground against rivals like McLaren. Vasseur explained that in modern ground effect cars, platform stability and precise car dynamics are crucial, and even small lapses in focus can result in multiple positions lost on the grid. Ferrari introduced revised suspension geometry mid-season to better control plank wear and improve drivability, but implementing changes during the year limited development efficiency and added challenges in adapting setups.

Daytona’s high-stakes fight for survival

The NASCAR Cup Series regular season finale at Daytona will decide the last two playoff spots, and 20 drivers must win to get in. Some drivers already safe in the playoffs, like Austin Dillon and the Hendrick teammates, plan to help teammates such as Kyle Busch, Alex Bowman, and Ty Gibbs make it. Bowman is in trouble because if a new winner comes from outside, he must outscore Tyler Reddick by 29 points to stay in. At RFK Racing, Brad Keselowski, Chris Buescher, and Ryan Preece will work together early, but in the end, only one can take the playoff spot.

Court blocks Rick Ware NASCAR sale

A North Carolina judge stopped Rick Ware from selling his NASCAR team while he is in a legal fight with Legacy Motor Club over a charter. Legacy, owned by Jimmie Johnson, states that Ware agreed to sell them one of his Cup Series charters in 2026 for $45 million. However, Ware claims the deal was for 2027, as he already has a deal with RFK Racing. While this dispute was going on, Ware tried to sell his whole team to broker T.J. Puchyr for $150 million. The judge ruled in Legacy’s favor for now, saying they have a strong case and could be badly hurt without the order, with the trial set for January.
