Audi signals serious intent ahead of 2026 debut

Audi has entered Formula 1 and showed a concept car and special livery in Munich. Early problems slowed the project, and they now aim for championships by 2030. Improvements at Sauber and a better team setup give Audi a solid start. They are not top contenders yet, but their plan looks serious for the future.

USA Sports to oversee NASCAR broadcasts from 2026

Starting in 2026, USA Sports will take over production of 10 NASCAR Cup Series races that previously aired on USA Network after NBCUniversal moved its cable channels under Versant Media Group. USA Sports will also handle all playoff races, producing the final 14 events of the season. The new seven-year media deal splits coverage between FOX Sports, Amazon Prime Video, TNT Sports, and NBC Sports/USA Sports, with most races starting at 3 p.m. ET. Fans will still watch races on the same channels, but production will now be managed by Versant’s USA Sports division.

Taylor tops Indy NXT test at Barber for Andretti

Andretti Global’s Max Taylor was the fastest driver in an Indy NXT test at Barber Motorsports Park, which had 23 drivers take part. He was 0.656 seconds quicker than teammate Josh Pierson, and both will race for Andretti in 2026 after time with HMD Motorsports this year. Former F1 driver Enzo Fittipaldi took third and will also race with his brother Pietro at the 2026 Daytona 24 Hours. Formula 2 driver Victor Martins also joined the test, while Ganassi plans to announce new names for its development program soon.

Foster signs contract extension with RLL

Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing has extended Louis Foster’s contract, so he will remain in the #45 car for the next few years. Foster, 22, wants to achieve better results in IndyCar. He won the 2024 Indy NXT championship and earned Rookie of the Year in 2025, with a 23rd place in the standings. Foster and the team said the new deal gives them stability and helps them work better together for future success.

Liam Lawson to drive supercar for charity

Liam Lawson will return to New Zealand in December to give fans rides in a V12 Aston Martin Vulcan, and all money will support Breast Cancer Foundation NZ. The event at Highlands Motorsport Park on December 23 will have three Vulcan rides, one fully paid by a sponsor and two sold for charity, plus 20 Lamborghini Fast Dash rides. Lawson wants to support the Tony Quinn Foundation and give fans a special experience while he is home. The sponsors and organizers say all money raised will help people with breast cancer and give fans a unique chance to enjoy motorsport.
