The Best and Worst F1 Fantasy Assets for the Dutch Grand Prix

As we emerge from the summer break, the tier list shakes up once again! Some teams are preparing to run four Tier A assets at Zandvoort while others try to make up ground through differential strategies. Let's review some of the most critical assets in F1 Fantasy for the Dutch Grand Prix.

George Russell

Russell may find himself among the most added Tier A drivers since a PIA/RUS/MCL/MER lineup starts at $122.2M. Russell qualified P3 at Zandvoort in 2023 and P4 in 2024, but unfortunate tire strategies cost him a top-5 finish on both occasions. Russell averages 12.3 points per race more than Tier B standout, Nico Hulkenberg, so those that can afford Russell will look to build a gap to the rest of the field this weekend.

Max Verstappen

For teams considering the Limitless or Extra DRS Boost chips, Verstappen's record at Zandvoort is impossible to ignore. He claimed pole position and went on to win his first three Dutch Grands Prix followed by a P2 finish in 2024. A podium for Verstappen at his home race could warrant Driver of the Day accolades as well.

Lando Norris

For those looking to mix it up, Norris could be a differential DRS Boost play for teams that fall short of the four Tier A budgets. Winner of three out of the last four races this season, Norris is now the highest scoring driver in F1 Fantasy and he also won this race in 2024. Currently, 99% of the Top 500 teams in the Global League placed their DRS Boost on Oscar Piastri, so this move certainly goes against the grain.

Aston Martin

Keep an eye on all three Aston Martin assets this weekend. Fernando Alonso has finished in the top 10 in all four of his career starts at Zandvoort, and with rain forecasted for this weekend Lance Stroll's performance in wet conditions (16 points in Australia, 22 points at Silverstone) stands out. The Aston Martin constructor can gain $0.6M by scoring more than -24 points.

Alex Albon

Another outside-the-box option for this weekend, Albon scored 12 or more fantasy points in his last three races. As Williams continue to extract performance from their Belgian Grand Prix upgrades, Albon and teammate Carlos Sainz could be a surprise source of points. The target score to gain $0.2M for Albon (5) and Sainz (4) are both achievable this weekend.

Red Bull

Yuki Tsunoda enters this weekend on a streak of seven straight finishes outside the top 10, adding risk to the Red Bull constructor. Tsunoda's record at Zandvoort (DNF, DNF, P15, P17) is also an eyesore. Red Bull return to the Sell list until Yuki consistently challenges for points.

Liam Lawson and Gabriel Bortoleto

Sporting the lowest targets for $0.6M among the Tier B drivers, Lawson (-2) and Bortoleto (-14) will be popular picks this weekend. Teams looking to run four Tier A assets will likely roster budget drivers to round out their lineups, while those looking to grow their cap will take advantage of their price growth potential. Notably absent from the Buy list is fellow rookie and price floor asset: Franco Colapinto. He logged negative fantasy scores in three straight races and has not scored more than 6 fantasy points since he returned to the grid.
