Carson Scott Hocevar is an American professional racing driver who competes in the NASCAR Cup Series with Spire Motorsports. He also races part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Hocevar began racing quarter midgets at the age of seven and won 15 national championships. He later moved into late-model racing at Berlin Raceway. 

In 2015, he won the Outlaw Late Model championship, and in 2017, he won the Super Late Model championship. He joined the ARCA Menards Series in 2018 before making his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut with Jordan Anderson Racing in 2019. He signed with Niece Motorsports in 2020 and became a full-time Truck Series driver in 2021. 

Hocevar made his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut in 2023 and also made his NASCAR Cup Series debut that year with Spire Motorsports. In 2024, he joined Spire Motorsports full-time and won the NASCAR Cup Series Rookie of the Year award.

Carson Scott Hocevar was born on January 28, 2003, in Portage, Michigan, United States, to Scott and Amy Hocevar. His father, Scott Hocevar, worked as a crew member and sponsor for several local racing teams, and Carson developed an interest in racing at an early age. 

He began racing quarter midgets at the age of seven and won 15 national championships. At the age of 12, he moved into late-model racing at Berlin Raceway. In 2015, he won the Outlaw Late Model championship.

How did Carson Hocevar get to NASCAR?

Carson Hocevar reached NASCAR through late model racing and the ARCA Menards Series. He made his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut in 2019 with Jordan Anderson Racing. He joined Niece Motorsports in 2020 and won the Winchester 400 later that year. 

In 2021, he became a full-time Truck Series driver. In 2023, Hocevar claimed his first NASCAR national series victory at Texas Motor Speedway. He also made his NASCAR Cup Series debut that season with Spire Motorsports and Legacy Motor Club. 

Spire Motorsports signed him as a full-time Cup Series driver for the 2024 season. He won the NASCAR Cup Series Rookie of the Year award that year. In 2026, he claimed his first Cup Series victory at Talladega.

In 2020, Carson Hocevar won the prestigious Winchester 400 at the age of 17. Later that year, he also won the Redbud 400 at Anderson Speedway. Between 2020 and 2025, Hocevar became the first driver to win Berlin Raceway's Money in the Bank 150 three times.

In 2023, he claimed his first NASCAR national series victory at Texas Motor Speedway. In 2024, he won the Battle at Berlin 250 and was named NASCAR Cup Series Rookie of the Year. In 2026, he claimed his first NASCAR Cup Series victory at the Jack Link's 500 at Talladega Superspeedway.
