Racing runs deep in the Briscoe family. His father, Kevin Briscoe, competed in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, while his grandfather, Richard Briscoe, owned sprint cars. Briscoe started racing sprint cars at the age of 13. In his first season, he became the youngest driver to win a 410 sprint car race. He spent his teenage years competing on dirt tracks across Indiana and quickly built a reputation as a talented sprint car driver before turning his attention to stock car racing.
