The Bahrain Grand Prix is taking place in Malaysia from October 2-4, 2026, bringing Formula 1 back to Sepang for the first time since 2017. There are plenty of on-track and off-track events planned for F1 fans throughout race weekend.
Here’s what fans can expect from the Fan Zone, concerts, and other race-weekend events.
On-Track
These are the entertainment activities lined up for fans at Sepang International Circuit.
Pit Lane Walk
The Pit Lane Walk will take place on Thursday, October 1, 2026, starting at 3:15 PM Malaysia Time. Gates open at 2:30 PM and close at 4:30 PM. You'll need a separate Pit Lane Walk pass as well as a valid F1 race ticket to attend. Only valid F1 race ticket holders can purchase Pit Lane Walk passes from the Bahrain GP website. Passes cost about $5 (RM20) and are limited to one per customer.
F1 Fan Zone
The Fan Zone will be located in the Mall Area and will be open to all ticket holders throughout the weekend.
F1 driver and team interviews will take place on the Fan Zone Stage. Here’s the schedule in Malaysia Time:
Chinese acrobats will perform throughout the weekend at the Fan Zone, with several shows scheduled each day.
Roaming Entertainment
Throughout the race weekend, roaming performers will move around the Mall Area instead of staying on a stage. These are the confirmed roaming acts:

- The Charming Jay
- Emojis
- Racing Stilts
- Spanish Sun
- Modern Pierrots
- Metallic Flowers
- Color Queens
- Comic Book
- The Dapper Chaps
Drummers at the Grandstands
Several drummers will perform around the grandstand areas throughout the race weekend. Acts set to perform include Kalimba Batucada, Blue Arrows, Vaga Band, and Batucada Los Joperos.
Cultural Activities and Experiences at the Bahrain Village
The Bahrain Village is a cultural area in the Mall Area designed to showcase Bahrain’s heritage, traditions, food, and contemporary culture during the race weekend.
What to expect:
- Traditional crafts: Arabic calligraphy, boat making, basket weaving, henna, pottery, and traditional clothing
- Cultural activities: Falconry, Bahraini games, and live demonstrations
- Traditional food and drinks: halwa, tea, nakhi, flavored ice cream, and luqaimat
- Live cultural and musical performances at the BTEA Tent Stage, featuring Bahraini artists and bands
Bahrain GP Official Concerts
The Sepang International Circuit will host two main concerts during the race weekend. Grammy-nominated DJ Axwell will perform on Saturday, October 3, at 7:35 PM, while Dutch DJ Martin Garrix will headline the post-race concert on Sunday, October 4, at 8:40 PM. The concerts will take place in the Concert Area on the west side of the circuit, next to the Welcome Center and near Parking PA1.
Eligible race ticket holders can attend by purchasing concert upgrades at the Bahrain GP website. You’ll need a separate ticket upgrade for each concert: $50 per person for Axwell and $100 per person for Martin Garrix.
Off-Track
The fun continues beyond the circuit, with plenty of F1-related activities happening around the city throughout race weekend. Check them out!
Disney x Formula 1 at MINISO Malaysia: Mickey Speed Life Collection
From September 18 to October 4, motorsports fans can visit select MINISO stores in Malaysia to see a merchandise collection that blends the Disney and Formula 1 franchises. The launch features racing-inspired designs, including the Mickey Speed Life Vinyl Plush Pendant, which is the highlight of the collection. This is one for both adults and kids.
Kuala Lumpur Race Weekend at W Kuala Lumpur
The W Kuala Lumpur hotel will be hosting three days of DJs, parties, food, and race-weekend celebrations at its rooftop bar, WET Deck. Here’s a breakdown of the schedule.
Prices range from about $13 (RM50) to $116+ (RM476+), depending on the event or package.
F1 Race Day at Pullman Kuala Lumpur City Centre
You can watch the F1 action live at the Blu Bar & Cigars in Pullman Kuala Lumpur City Centre from October 2-4, 2026, while enjoying cold beer buckets. The event runs from 11 AM to midnight, and one beer bucket costs around $30-$40.
