How Ferrari hurt its own 2025 season

Ferrari had a tough 2025 Formula 1 season and decided early to stop updates on this year’s car to focus on 2026. Leclerc and Hamilton agreed, but the decision hurt the team’s confidence more than expected. Bad results and constant media criticism made life hard for the engineers, mechanics, and staff. Ferrari hopes next year will be better, but it will take time to get over the problems of 2025.

Caruth secures full 2026 NASCAR season with JAR, JRM

Rajah Caruth will race full-time in the 2026 NASCAR O’Reilly Series with Jordan Anderson Racing and JR Motorsports. He will drive cars with different engines on each track and needs to perform well after the Truck Series. Caruth will help Jordan Anderson Racing improve through its new partnership with RCR. He will share some races in the No. 88 car with Carson Kvapil and prove he belongs at this level.

Artemis SailGP signs Brad Farrand

Artemis SailGP signed Brad Farrand as jib trimmer for its 2026 debut season. Farrand has strong family ties in Sweden and sailed with Artemis before. He said he is proud to race for Sweden and help the team perform at its best. Farrand joins Nathan Outteridge, Julia Gross, Julius Hallström, and reserve sailors Hugo Christensson and Felicia Fernström for Artemis’ first race in Perth.

Viking Motorsports expands NASCAR team

Viking Motorsports will run two cars in 2026, and Anthony Alfredo will drive the No. 96. He will work again with crew chief Josh Graham, who he knows from a past team. Parker Retzlaff will drive the No. 99 for the team next year. The team says Alfredo and Graham’s past work together will help them grow, especially with their new deal with Richard Childress Racing.

Porsche exit WEC Hypercar

Porsche will not race the 963 in the 2026 World Endurance Championship because Proton Competition could not enter two cars. This also means the Porsche 963 will not race at the 2026 Le Mans 24 Hours. Genesis will take Porsche’s place on the 2026 WEC grid. Only one private team remains in Hypercar after Proton dropped out.
