Lando Norris leads Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton in the second free practice at Silverstone
Lewis Hamilton topped the timesheets of FP2 with Ferrari ahead of both the McLaren drivers with Lando Norris leading his teammate Oscar Piastri. See what happened in the second free practice session of the British Grand Prix weekend:
- Oliver Bearman was moving slowly on the racing line, getting in the way of Liam Lawson who was very unhappy about the situation
- The Stewards noted it but there will be no further action
- Many of the drivers were experiencing traffic, halting their ability to test out the cars and see their speed with the different tires and fuel levels
- The Racing Bulls have been looking very strong throughout the past few races with Liam Lawson and Isack Hadjar both finishing in the top ten in Austria
- Both drivers looked to have very promising pace in FP1, showing that they are very much a team to look out for
- Carlos Sainz had a spin half way through the session
- The Spaniard came very close to hitting Lewis Hamilton in the Ferrari
- Sainz had a tough weekend in Austria, qualifying in P20 and needing to retire from the racing entirely
- Ferrari is looking strong ahead of the British Grand Prix weekend with Lewis Hamilton topping FP1 and both of the drivers showing promising pace throughout FP2
- Alpine is having some difficulties with Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto not showing any pace out on track
- Lando Norris topped FP2 ahead of both Ferrari drivers, Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton
