Leclerc tops FP3 after Red Flag ends session early | British Grand Prix FP3 Results 2025

The drivers took to the track for the third and final practice in Silverstone. Lewis Hamilton topped FP1 and Lando Norris topped FP2. McLaren and Ferrari are looking to be the teams to beat this weekend, but it is sure to be a close race for this British Grand Prix. See what happened in the final free practice session:

• Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris topped the earlier practice sessions, showing that McLaren and Ferrari look to be the teams to beat this weekend
• Alpine really struggled yesterday with Franco Colapinto and Pierre Gasly not showing any pace in their cars
  
  • Alpine made some changes to their car and sent Colapinto out first for FP3 to start testing it as soon as possible
• Williams is also seeming to struggle with their car
  
  • They were testing different set ups yesterday and ended up breaking curfew to change the power units on both of the cars ahead of FP3
• Lance Stroll had a big slide down in Luffield in his Aston Martin. He flat spotted his tires but was able to avoid the barriers and any further damage to his car
• Kimi Antonelli is looking very comfortable in his Mercedes at he lingered near the top of the time sheets
• Alex Albon was frustrated as an Aston Martin got in his way as he was trying to set a lap time
  
  • Since this is practice, there will be no further action with the stewards investigating this incident
• Liam Lawson was noted for 'driving erratically' and nearly causing an incident with Pierre Gasly but the Stewards deemed that there would be no further action
• The Red Flag was triggered with eight minutes left in the session because of a piece of debris that came off of Ollie Bearman's Haas car
  
  • The session resumed a few minutes later, giving drivers time to try and push the limits for a couple more laps
• Gabriel Bortoleto beached his Sauber F1 car with only one minute left in Free Practice 3
  
  • This caused a Red Flag and ended the session prematurely
• Charles Leclerc topped the session ahead of Oscar Piastri and the Red Bull of Max Verstappen
