Pirelli’s 2026 tire test closes out the season

The 2025 Formula 1 season ended with a test at Yas Marina, where teams tried 2026 tires on mule cars and 10 young drivers drove 2025 cars. Teams used the tires to check performance and wear, with most cars under speed limits. Kimi Antonelli set the fastest time among regular drivers, and Jak Crawford led the young drivers. The cars completed 2,648 laps, giving teams data before the 2026 pre-season test in Barcelona.

Childress reveals pressure in NASCAR Charter deal

Richard Childress said the 2025 NASCAR Charter Agreement forced him to agree to keep his team alive. He explained charters guarantee race entry and money, and without them he would have had no access. NASCAR leaders Jim France and Steve Phelps said the system gives stability and does not force teams. Childress added the current model only keeps teams alive for now and does not support long-term growth.

Yifei Ye joins Triarsi for Daytona 24 debut

Yifei Ye will race in IMSA for the first time at the Rolex 24 at Daytona with Triarsi Competizione in the No. 023 Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo. He joins Onofrio Triarsi, Kenton Koch, and Robert Megennis and is the only driver on the car who never drove for the team before. This will be Ye’s first 24-hour race in a Ferrari GT3 car, though he drove GT3 Ferraris in Europe and Macau. Triarsi will enter two Ferraris at Daytona with a strong GTD and GTD Pro lineup.

Williams lets fans choose livery for 2026

Williams will let fans choose the look of its 2026 F1 car for pre-season tests. Fans can pick from six designs, all in the team’s usual blue, with some special patterns. Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz will drive the car in the first official test in January. Team boss James Vowles said it gives fans a chance to take part in the start of 2026.

Emirates GBR signs Stuart Bithell

Stuart Bithell will join Emirates GBR as Wing Trimmer for the 2026 SailGP season, while Iain Jensen moves to Australia’s BONDS Flying Roos Team. Bithell earned Olympic gold with Dylan Fletcher at Tokyo 2020 and earned European and World Championship medals. He has four SailGP seasons experience, racing for GBR, Switzerland, and Germany. Bithell said he is excited to sail with Fletcher and Hannah Mills again and ready for the challenge on a championship team.
