Herta joins Hitech for 2026 F2 debut
Colton Herta will race in the 2026 F2 season with Hitech while also as Cadillac’s test driver. He is a top young IndyCar driver with many wins and podiums. Racing on F1 tracks will give him experience and let him compete against Europe’s best drivers. Hitech is a good team for him to grow and advance toward F1.

Winners and losers from Talladega
Chase Briscoe won a wild race at Talladega and earned a spot in the Championship 4. Hendrick Motorsports lost their lead at the end when Larson ran out of fuel and Byron crashed. The race had 27 different leaders and 77 lead changes, full of action. Ty Gibbs helped his teammate, while Elliott, Buescher, and the Penske drivers had a tough day.

Palou and O’Ward set for IndyCar test at IMS
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway will have two days of testing this week to help Firestone check new tires and see how the new Turn 2 surface performs. Pato O’Ward and Alex Palou will drive on Tuesday, along with Alexander Rossi and Takuma Sato. Rossi and Sato will also run on Wednesday to test new brake and suspension parts for IndyCar’s 2028 car. IndyCar plans to keep the same brake supplier, PFC, and may limit how much teams can change their suspension parts in the future.

Chloe Chambers secures Formula E test opportunity
Chloe Chambers will race in the Formula E Women’s Test in Valencia for Mahindra Racing. She tested the same car last year and wants to learn more this time. She is fourth in the 2025 F1 Academy and hopes to get a Formula E seat next year. Mahindra Racing says she is a talented driver and will help her improve.

Ferrari extends partnership with Bitdefender
Bitdefender, a top cybersecurity company from Romania, extends its partnership with Ferrari’s Formula 1 team. It will stay as Ferrari’s main cybersecurity partner and get more logos on the cars. Ferrari says security of their technology is important for better performance. Bitdefender will support Ferrari in securing its systems and data.
