Red Bull’s cooling choice could cost them

McLaren boss Andrea Stella says Red Bull’s poor speed in Mexico was likely caused by the hot, thin air. He explained that Red Bull may have opened up their car’s bodywork to keep it from overheating, which reduced its speed and grip. McLaren didn’t face this problem thanks to upgrades in their 2025 car. This helped Lando Norris secure pole position, while Max Verstappen could only manage fifth.

Gray claims first career Xfinity win at Martinsville

Taylor Gray took his first Xfinity Series win at Martinsville after an overtime restart, ahead of Sammy Smith and Brandon Jones. His win also helped Carson Kvapil secure the last Championship 4 spot by a few points. Gray led 52 laps in the No. 54 Toyota after a past clash with Smith at the same track. Kvapil, Jesse Love, Justin Allgaier, and Connor Zilisch will now race for the title in Phoenix.

Rolex SailGP confirms 2026 schedule

SailGP will continue its 13-race world series in 2026, while the America’s Cup changes its format. The 2025 Grand Final in Abu Dhabi on November 29-30 will decide the top three teams and a $2 million prize. The league, started by Russell Coutts and Larry Ellison, has grown worldwide. Coutts said long-term deals with race cities help SailGP stay strong each year.

Mayer and Creed eliminated at Martinsville

Sam Mayer said Jeb Burton caused a big crash at Talladega that hurt his chance to make the championship and led to their problems on track. He said Burton raced him badly and showed no respect, and it was hard to race with him. Mayer was sad to miss the Championship 4 after all his team’s hard work. Sheldon Creed said his car needed to be faster and felt drivers raced cleaner this time.

Indian racer Atiqa Mir joins F1 Academy program

F1 Academy has expanded its support for 10-year-old Indian driver Atiqa Mir under the new Champions of the Future Academy (COTFA) in the UAE. She will take part in two UAE karting rounds, along with other events through the Discover Your Drive program. Atiqa, the first Indian supported by Formula 1, won a race in the RMC Championship and now competes in the MENA Nations Cup in Qatar. COTFA said the number of female drivers has grown from 5% in 2023 to 30% in 2025, as the first UAE round begins November 7–9.
