Why Cadillac wants Herta in F2
Colton Herta is moving from IndyCar to Formula 2 so he can earn enough Super License points for a future Formula 1 seat. Since Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas are near the end of their careers at Cadillac, Herta could replace one of them in the next few years if he does well in F2. TWG CEO Dan Towriss said this move shows respect for European racing and will give Herta the preparation American drivers often miss before joining F1.
