Why #1 isn’t on Norris’ car

Lando Norris is taking part in the Abu Dhabi post-season test, but he cannot use the #1 yet even though he won the F1 title. He must keep his usual #4 because he is not officially champion until the FIA prizegiving ceremony on Friday. Norris instead marked the moment with a special gold helmet while Oscar Piastri used the car later in the day. The rules say the number on the car must stay the same until the season is officially closed, which is why the #1 still belongs to Max Verstappen for now.
