Ben Sulayem re-elected as president of the FIA

Mohammed Ben Sulayem will stay as FIA President for another four years because no one else could run against him. The 64-year-old former rally driver was the only candidate in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Laura Villars has taken the vote to court, with a review set for February. The FIA said the election followed its rules and reflected the choice of its members worldwide.

NASCAR, Micheal Jordan’s 23XI Racing settle antitrust dispute

NASCAR and Michael Jordan’s 23XI team ended their court fight after both sides reached a settlement. The deal includes a new form of evergreen charters, which give teams stable spots in the sport. Jordan and his lawyer said the result will help teams, NASCAR, and fans, while NASCAR said it was happy to reach this point. The teams had sued NASCAR for unfair control of the system, but both sides now say they can move forward together.

Valentino Rossi exits WEC after two seasons

BMW says Valentino Rossi will leave the World Endurance Championship after two years as Team WRT brings in new drivers. Anthony McIntosh and Parker Thompson join the team, and Darren Leung comes back to drive the No. 32 car with Sean Gelael and Augusto Farfus. McIntosh, Thompson and Dan Harper will drive the No. 69 car, while Rossi is set to return to GT World Challenge Europe in 2026. BMW also says Connor De Phillippi and Neil Verhagen will drive full-time for Paul Miller Racing in IMSA, with Max Hesse and Harper only in for long races.

Alba Larsen returns to F1 Academy with Ferrari

Alba Larsen will represent Ferrari again in F1 Academy in 2026. She finished seventh in her first season, with seven top-five results and two fourth-place finishes. Larsen will also compete in F4 UAE and British F4 to gain more experience. She said being part of Ferrari is a dream and she will do her best for the team.

McLaren boss Brown exits Australia's supercars

Walkinshaw team will be renamed Walkinshaw TWG from February 3. Zak Brown, co-owner through United Autosports, will exit the team to focus on other programs and Formula 1 plans. The team will continue operations as usual and introduce the Toyota GR Supra for the 2026 season. Chaz Mostert and teammate Ryan Wood will drive the #1 and #2 cars.
