Lando Norris outpaces Ferrari and George Russell in the final practice before Canadian GP Qualifying
It's been all sun at the Canadian Grand Prix so far, and the final practice session is now complete. Here's what happened in the session and who's looking strong before this afternoon's Qualifying.
- Oscar Piastri was first to make heavy contact with a wall at the 38 minute mark. The impact left him with a flat rear tire and red flagged the session to clean up debris. The Australian driver seems to be on the back foot this weekend, ending the session in P8 following multiple race wins
- Nico Hulkenberg spun and brushed the wall with his front and rear wings
- Williams continued their strong form into this third practice session with Carlos Sainz finishing P9 and Alex Albon finishing P10
- Yuki Tsunoda had issues with his Red Bull and wasn't able to find pace or put a solid time on the board. He finished the session in P20
- George Russell and Max Verstappen are in contention, along with both Ferraris, as they rounded out the top times behind Lando Norris
